When we were decorating for the holidays this year, I wanted to have a focal point in our formal living room since our tree is in our family room. I thought the window was a perfect place to dress up and add some holiday flair.
I love decorating with lights, it is easy and it is so pretty in a room. I thought it would be perfect to put lights behind the sheers on the windows to give it a soft and warm glow.
My window is really large – about 8 feet wide – so I decided to buy 2 x the width in lights. This means 16 boxes of lights since I purchased the 50 light version. I also recommend getting the LED lights in the warm white, but you could use colored lights as well.
Since I was going to plug in the lights to each other end to end the best way to do the lights on the window is in a snake pattern
